The EXDIR opened this training day and during a short morning update provided audience with basic information regarding upcoming simulated situations.

Following occurrence was a main topic of the day – people in the city are preparing to give a vote in referendum and MNMPBAT has been requested to provide police assistance and enforcement of a law and order during this event. There were simulated various situations that could disrupt peaceful conduct of the referendum, or possible attempts to thwart it (i.e. attempt to vote without ID, attempt to vote repeatedly, voting under influence of drugs, attempt for suicide attack, wanted person attempting to enter the polling booths, attack on checkpoint and subsequent escape of the attackers).

After a conclusion of the referendum voting process the MNMPBAT had to provide transport of the ballots to police station for counting. While performing this task the base was attacked by armed insurgents that shot two mortar rounds to the base area.

Like the previous day the assigned evaluators were observing if all the actions taken by battalion are performed in accordance with given tasks.
